At Bay Anglers we have designed special Spring sessions devoted to the Pacific´s famed
roosterfish, aka papa gallo. Roosterfish action in Bahia de Palmas (Bay of Palms) of Baja heats up in May and June, so it’s a perfect time to spend five days pursuing roosters from the beach and from an inshore panga.

• Learn techniques, rigging, and fly patterns for roosters
• Get to know their behavior
• Improve your fly casting distance and accuracy
• And, oh yeah, fly fish in the stunning waters of the Sea of Cortez for one of Baja´s prize-fighting gamefish!

From the Beach
The three beach hop days will put you on some of the very best roosterfish beaches in the world. You´ll be stalking roosters with your professional American fly fishing guide/instructor. Learn what it takes to hook-up, stay in the fight, and land this species. The mode of transportation is an air-conditioned 4WD vehicle, which gives you and your guide a comfortable way to hit all the hottest action on endless miles of beach. Your support crew will move you from beach to beach during the day and will meet you at designated points along the way with shade, refreshments, and a great homemade lunch.

From the Panga
The two panga days target roosterfish along the inshore waters of the Bahia de Palmas in a super panga with one of the fly fishing savvy local captains and your guide. You´ll learn how to engage roosters from the boat, bring them in, and release them back to battle another day.

Accommodations and Rates
Packages start at $1700 for a 5-day/6-night session, based on double occupancy in a standard room. All prices are subject to availability. Packages include airport transfers, lodging and meals, guides, boat charters, fishing license, a box of hand-tied flies, and shirt. Accommodations are at the beautiful Hotel Buena Vista Beach Resort.
